We want to pay it forward.

Businesses led by women are 63% less likely to obtain venture capital than those led by men. The number one challenge women-owned businesses face is the lack of access to equitable funding.

When we opened in 2020, five months into the pandemic there wasn’t a bank on this earth that would take a chance on a small woman-owned business.

Luckily, my parents were willing to take a chance (look at that face can you blame them) on a girl, a mission, and a pie in the sky. Terms are forgiving. We’re slowly & humbly paying them back but in true Flour Girl fashion we need to pay it forward.

Backed by Wisconsin Women's Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC) as our fiscal agent, we are donating funds, with the help from our women owned biz fam, to make a meaningful impact on other women led startups.

OUR GOAL

Each month, Flour Girl & Flame will collaborate with another woman-owned business to create something special to put on the menu that month. 15% of sales from these monthly collaborations will go towards the fund. At the end of the year, funds will be distributed to a woman-owned food startup. The recipient will also receive mentorship from every business that was involved.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

  • Eat. We will be donating 15% of all sales made from our monthly menu collabs.
